Seam Fishing Dory Net

Built for big fish and demanding water, the Seam Fishing Dory Net is the brand's flagship landing net, designed for everything from large brown trout to hard-fighting salmon.

Despite its oversized hoop and deep basket, the Dory is built to be manageable on walk-and-wade outings while offering the versatility needed for fishing from a boat.

The Dory features a ceramic-coated 60 Series aluminum frame with stainless steel hardware for a secure basket connection. Its oversized 24" x 13.5" hoop provides ample room for landing larger fish, while the 20"-deep rubber basket helps keep fish contained as they recover. Precision-threaded aluminum components allow for tool-free breakdown and quick handle swaps, and interchangeable threaded butt caps add versatility to your setup.

The hollow, sealed handle also provides a convenient place to store small gear, with removable rubber plugs for access. At just 2.3 lbs, the Dory balances a substantial landing capacity with practical portability.

Q: What types of fly fishing nets do you sell?
A: At Drift Outfitters, we carry a variety of fly fishing nets, including lightweight wading nets & larger boat net models. Many of our nets feature fish-safe rubber or silicone bags, making them perfect for catch-and-release fishing.

Q: Why should I use a rubber or silicone net bag?
A: Rubber and silicone net bags are gentler on fish compared to traditional mesh. They prevent scale damage, reduce stress, and stop hooks from snagging, making them ideal for catch-and-release anglers.

Q: How do I choose the right size of net?
A: Smaller nets are best for trout and stream fishing, while larger hoop nets are suited for steelhead, salmon, and bass. Consider the waters you fish most often — a compact net is easier to carry on foot, while a longer-handled net is useful from boats or fishing from shore.

Q: Which fly fishing net brands do you carry?
A: We carry trusted net makers Fishpond, Rising Nets, and Simms. These brands are known for their durable frames, comfortable grips, and fish-friendly designs.

Q: Are your nets suitable for catch-and-release fishing?
A: Yes, our nets are designed with catch-and-release in mind. Rubberized bags, lightweight frames, and safe handling features help minimize harm to fish while making landing easier.

Q: How should I care for my fly fishing net?
A: Rinse your net after every trip, especially if used in saltwater. Let it dry fully before storage, and check the bag and frame regularly for wear. Proper care will ensure your net lasts for many seasons.
