At 30% lighter and 30% narrower than the original Mirage, the Mirage LT pairs perfectly with lighter setups while maintaining the same precision engineering and durability.
At the heart of the Mirage LT is a lighter version of Orvis’ sealed, maintenance-free carbon and stainless steel disc drag system. With zero start-up inertia and ultra-precise low-end control, this reel protects light tippets while eliminating line shock during sudden runs. The drag adjusts from zero to full resistance in a single rotation of the knob, giving anglers instant control when fighting trout, bass, pike, musky, or carp.
Machined in New Hampshire from strong yet lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum bar stock, the Mirage LT features a titanium shaft for reduced weight and efficient power transfer, Type II anodizing for corrosion resistance, and an ergonomically designed aluminum handle for smooth retrieves. A quick-release spool allows easy conversion between left- and right-hand retrieve, while the fully radiused reel foot prevents leader kinks and the low-profile counterweight keeps fingers and fly lines clear.
