The lightest rod in Loop’s special-edition Ström Traditional series, the 9' 4-weight is made for small rivers, streams and stillwaters. It has the classic look of a cane rod but is built on Loop’s 7X heptagonal M40X carbon blank, which tracks straight and transfers power smoothly to the line for accurate, delicate casts.
The details are classic throughout: a cane-inspired blank finish, a dark nickel and myrtle wood reel seat, a flor cork handle, Japanese kimono silk wraps, an agate stripper guide and traditional ferrule stoppers.
At just 81 grams with a moderate-fast action, it’s a joy to fish all day, and it’s ideal for presenting dry flies, nymphs and wet flies with finesse and control. A beautiful rod for trout anglers who appreciate tradition as much as performance.
