The Jiggy Stone Stonefly Jig is a weighted stonefly nymph pattern designed for float fishing steelhead.
Its jig-style design helps get the fly down into the strike zone, making it a useful option for presenting a natural food source along the river bottom where steelhead often feed. Each pack includes two stonefly jig flies, giving anglers a ready-to-fish option for targeting steelhead throughout the season. Fish it under a float to work deeper runs, pools, and current seams.
These are also great flies for fishing "the bug bite", a phenomenon in early spring on the Great Lakes where steelhead crush stonefly nymphs when presented in marshes, estuaries, and even in the lakes themselves when suspended mid column.
