The TR3 reels are designed for mooching (trolling/downrigging), however they also can make for a great spey reel on large rods!

At the heart of the TR3 is a multi-layer disc drag system, constructed from alternating stainless steel plates and ultra-high-performance drag material. The result is silky smooth operation, zero start-up inertia, and exceptional stopping power, even under heavy load. This system is fully sealed with four O-rings, protecting it from water, debris, and corrosion—ensuring consistent performance with virtually no maintenance required.
Durability is further enhanced with 100% ceramic bearings, eliminating the risk of corrosion and maintaining smooth rotation over time. The reel’s ported paddle handles provide a secure grip in wet or cold conditions, while the interchangeable retrieve allows for easy left- or right-hand conversion.
