Join Jack Imhof, one of Canada's most well respected biologists and an icon in the Ontario fly fishing community to learn about our bug life and how it relates to your fly fishing! Jack will be presenting on the different insect types we have, their lifecycles, where to find them, their hatch timing, and more. You'll have a chance to ask questions as well, this is a golden opportunity to dial in your fishing learning from one of the best.

Aquatic Ecologist/Angler and Watershed Scientist
Jack Imhof retired in 2017 as the National Biologist and Director of Conservation Ecology for Trout Unlimited Canada (TUC) now Freshwater Conservation Canada (FCC). He has spent over 50 years of his life working on river and watershed restoration. Jack specializes in restoration ecology, watershed science and management and natural channel design. He retired in 2010 as a Provincial Aquatic Ecologist and Watershed Research Scientist with MNRF. Jack has helped to develop and teaches the Watershed and Stream Rehabilitation Training Program of FCC.
Jack has fished across Canada, the USA, the UK, Argentina and Australia. He is an avid fly tyer and in the past presented over 20 presentations to most of the Canadian Fly Fishing Forums over the years. He received a Conservation Pioneer Award at the 19th Annual A.D. Latornell Symposium in 2012 for his ongoing work to improve the health and quality of Canada’s watersheds. In retirement he continues to provide policy and science advice to various NGOs and municipalities.
