Often called “Redfish Crack” this shrimp pattern fools bonefish, permit, redfish on the flats, and even snook around the mangroves. The lead-eyed version is extremely effective when presented to large bonefish in deeper channels and drops.
Designed to imitate the brown shrimp that inhabit the saltier sea-grass filled estuaries, it offers a large, realistic profile but still lands softly. When redfish are tailing in skinny water it is best to put the Crafty Shrimp right on their nose and let drop naturally. Be prepared to set the hook immediately. Begin stripping if there is no reaction.

Dope fly shop, crazy selection of flies including big topwater bass flies of all sorts, and big pike flies which are pretty hard to find in person. Chill staff, loads of inventory. I make a point to stop here every time I'm in Toronto!
