Collection: Fly Fishing Boats & Rafts

Q: What types of boats and rafts do you offer?
A: Drift Outfitters stocks a selection of fishing-ready rafts and float boats designed with anglers in mind. You’ll find models for single, tandem, and three person use, with features such as reinforced floors, rod holders, and stable frames to fish comfortably on rivers and lakes.

Q: How do I choose the right raft size and style for fly fishing?
A: Consider how many anglers you’ll carry and the water type you’ll fish (rivers vs lakes). Single-person rafts offer easy back-county access, while tandem or multi-person models provide space and stability for casting and gear. Look for features like high load capacity and good balance.

Q: Are rafts easy to transport and set up?
A: Yes — inflatable rafts pack down compactly and are relatively easy to transport in a vehicle. Most models inflate quickly with a pump and include attachment points to secure gear and accessories before heading out on the water. Rafts with frames such as NRS models are light and many can be car topped, put in a truck bed, or pulled on a lightweight trailer.

Q: Which brands of boats and rafts do you carry?
A: Drift Outfitters features raft models from trusted outdoor brands such as NRS (Slipstream, Oxbow, Approach series) and Watermaster (Kodiak, Grizzly, Bruin). These brands are well-known in the fly fishing community for durability and performance.

Q: What accessories come with or are recommended for rafts?
A: Many raft packages include or recommend extras like pumps, repair kits, oars, anchor systems, and safety gear. Upgrading with gear like rod holders or motor mounts can enhance your fishing experience on the water.

Q: How should I care for my raft?
A: Rinse with fresh water after each trip. Dry completely before storing to prevent mildew or damage. Patch any small leaks promptly and store it loosely in a cool, dry place.
