Are You Paying Attention to This When Fishing?
The line we fish with is the next most important decision that we make in our setups next to our fly. Leader materials need to be strong and durable to land fish when it counts, but too thick and they hinder our presentation or flat out spook fish altogether.

Many anglers are used to talking about leader & tippet in the terms of breaking strength ("I fish with 6lb line"), but that doesn't capture the most important info, the diameter. The strength of the line actually doesn't matter much at all in considering how your fly will present, and due to differences in material, a 6lb tippet from one brand could be completely different from another labelled the same!

Check out this video where we cover how we shop for tippet, we're sure it will help you catch more fish!
