Join Fly Fishing Team Canada members Ian Troup, Chris Krysciak, David Nonomura and Morgan McLean for a series of free to attend fly fishing clinics on April 13th, hosted at The Franklin Club! We ran this event last year and fully booked within just 2 hours, so if you want to come out make sure to register soon after registration opens on Tuesday March 25th at 12pm!

It's not often all of these teammates can be found in the same spot, but it just so happens they're all in town for a competition and thought this would be a great chance to put on an awesome event for you! The skills that you'll learn aren't specific to competition fishing, so no worries if you have no interest in competing, we guarantee you'll pick up a few tricks!

10am - 12pm: Join us for a free presentation on how we think about fishing rivers for trout! This info will apply no matter where you are in the world, and will be useful whether targeting rising brown trout or steelhead.  In this class all 4 instructors will break down how to find fish, flies to use, leader setups, and all other info you need to make the most of these fisheries!

12pm-1pm: Lunch break,  buffet lunch provided by the Franklin Club is available for $20.

1pm - 2:3pm: In the afternoon, choose from one of three different sessions including casting tune ups, adding distance to your cast and double hauling, or euro nymphing! Class descriptions found below.

Casting Tune Ups - Ian Troup - Max 10 Anglers

This is your chance to shake off that rust before kicking off your season! Certified casting instructor Ian Troup will be offering casting tune ups for any level of angler!

Distance Casting and Double Hauling - Morgan McLean - Max 10 Anglers

Learn to cast further and with more control in this class hosted by certified casting instructor Morgan McLean! You'll learn about the principles of distance casting, how old casting myths have been holding you back from getting more distance, and how to incorporate the double haul to increase line speed, accuracy, and limit fatigue.

Dry Fly Techniques - Chris Krysciak - Max 10 Anglers

Take your dry fly fishing to the next level in this course! The reason you aren't catching as many fish as you could be with dries is the quality of your drift, in this class we'll go over leader design, casting technique, and line management that is gauranteed to improve your success! Dry fly fishing is one of the MOST effective ways to catch trout, let us show you how!

Fly Fishing Trout in Lakes - David Nonomura - Max 10 Anglers

Stillwater trout (trout in lakes) are something that don't get nearly enough attention in Ontario, especially considering how many waters we have to fish for them! In this class David will go through different fly and line setups, understanding their behaviour, and how to catch them!
