Event Type: In-Person only
Location: Drift Outfitters & Fly Shop - 199 Queen St E, Toronto, ON, M5A 1S2
Streamers have come a long way over the years! What was once a matter of slapping some long hair to a hook and calling it a day has evolved into a science of maximizing movement, vibration, density and more to create a lifelike swim on your flies that triggers predatory fish. These flies have been proven for pike, musky, striped bass, saltwater species, bass and more!
Steve has been a fly designer, guide and author for over three decades. He has experience creating numerous innovative and effective patterns for species found in the Great Lakes region and world-wide. Some of his patterns are available through Fulling Mill's fly catalogue. Steve is a trained ecologist and ecosystem manager who uses his observation and angling experience to address fly tying challenges. His favourite area of fly tying is developing baitfish patterns that swim in a manner that triggers predatory fish.
Each student will receive all materials needed to tie 2 proven patterns and will get to take home the flies they tie. Students must have some tying experience for this class.
All materials are provided, students must provide their own fly tying vise and following tools.
- Vise
- Scissors
- Bobbin

Classes are roughly 2.5 hours in length but may vary depending on the ability of the class.
