Ian Troup is a well-respected guide and international competitor with over 25 years experience including being a pro-staff for multiple fishing clubs. Ian guides on the rivers in Southern Ontario including the Grand, Maitland, Saugeen and Credit including walk and wade and drift boat trips predominantly for all trout species.

 

Ian is a current member of Team Canada and has competed in multiple international fly fishing competitions and is a certified fly fishing instructor, certified by famed casting instructor Bruce Richards.

Ian's passion for fly fishing extends to education and mentorship. He has had the opportunity to learn from multiple world champions along with guiding mentorship from the late Ian Colin James. Ian is a firm believer that you never stop learning and is dedicated to teaching others all techniques of fly fishing, offering personalized coaching and guided trips designed to enhance the fishing experience for anglers of all levels.
