After each session students are welcome and encouraged to fish for up to an additional hour (catch and release only) at the Franklin Club for it's very large rainbow and brook trout!
At the heart of everything, fly casting is truly what makes fly fishing unique and being able to put a fly where you want it is key to success on the water. Because these are one-on-one lessons, we can tailor them to your personalized needs, whatever that may mean. At the end of the class you can expect to better understand the dynamics of your cast, potential areas of growth, and a plan for reaching your goals.
This program is geared towards intermediate level students. We can accommodate up to two students per session (if you have someone who you'd like to accompany you), however we encourage you to book individually as we find that adding students leads to less personal instruction and split attention from the instructor. Pricing is per student, we've set the price to be the same per-person-rate whether booking individually or with a friend to encourage people to book one-on-one lessons as we believe that it will be in the best interest of the student to do so.

Safety is our number one priority. Proper footwear and eye protection (hat & sunglasses) must be worn at all times, pfd's must be worn when in and around water. Students will be instructed in addition on how to behave around water including wading safety, freeing of snags, and hook setting (the last two points are mandated by our insurance provider). Students must fill out a student information form, waiver, and agree to terms, including Covid 19 related conditions before any instruction takes place.
A highly recommended lesson for all levels. Chris was able to provide excellent feedback and tips to improve my cast. Learning on YouTube can only teach so much and these nuances that Chris can spot were very helpful to correct old habits. Communication and info on the course was excellent. Thanks again Chris.
Chris is a consummate professional who not only breaks down the components of the fly cast into functional, finessed and manageable tiers, but does so with patience and achievable progression. The lesson is well paced, well managed and exactly what I needed to get back in the game. Well done Chris!
Simply the best. Chris is fantastic and will help you fine-tune your mechanics so that you'll be fishing your best-whether it's for an upcoming winter salty trip down south (like me), or you just wanna get ready for the Spring season. Highly, highly recommended. One session in and I'm already getting more distance, accuracy, and
