Price Matching Policy:
If you do find an item elsewhere that we carry for less, please let us know and we may be able to match it.
To match a competitor’s price the item must meet the following criteria:
-The items being matched must be exactly the same (same colour, size, dimensions, weight, etc)
-The item must be an advertised price that the staff at Drift Outfitters & Fly Shop can view or verify
-Prices can only be matched with a Canadian retailer, either a brick and mortar store, or web store
-The item being matched bust be in stock with both us and the retailer being matched
-Other factors such as whether the item qualifies for free shipping and similar factors will be considered
-All matches are ultimately at the discretion of Drift Outfitters
Our Packaging:
At Drift we are doing our best to be green!
We try to use as much packaging to ship items to our customers that we have received from our suppliers, meaning our boxes may not look brand new and have been made to fit. This not only cuts down on our carbon footprint, but also reduces your overall shipping costs! We think it is a win-win.
Returns & Exchanges:
All returned items and items for exchange must be in original condition, unused, include all accessories, manuals, tags, and original packing materials.
Returns for Refund, Exchange, and Store Credit
The original receipt is required for all returns and exchanges.
Items presented for return to the shop with a gift receipt are only eligible for exchange or store credit
All items being returned must be unused, in brand-new condition, with their original non-damaged tags, and non-damaged original packaging (wader boxes, material packaging, etc.).
Any items returned with damaged tags or boxes will be subject to a $20 re-boxing and/or re-tagging fee – this covers the acquisition of a new box and/or tags, shipping of the new box or tags to our shop, re-packing the item, and labour.
Example: do not attach a shipping label directly to a wader, or boot, box to return ship them to the shop, or put tape on the box directly. Instead, wrap or package the box in a durable material, as we did sending the product to you, then affix a shipping label to the exterior of that packaging.
30-day return period for refunds or exchanges:
We accept returns for a full refund for up to 30 days from the date of the original purchase, minus the cost of any shipping charges inured.
Items must be unused with the original tags attached, and all accessories included.
Any promotional material included in the purchase must be returned with any return or refund.
90-day return period for exchanges or store credit:
We accept returns for an exchange or store credit for up to 90 days from the date of the original purchase.
Items must be unused with the original tags attached, and all accessories included.
Any promotional material included in the purchase must be returned with any return or refund.
Refunds are issued to the payment method the purchase was originally paid with.
No returns or exchanges after 90 days.
No returns or exchanges on clearance items.
Clearance & Sale Item – Return Policy
All sales of clearance and sale items are final.
All items purchased on sale or on clearance are not eligible for returns, refunds, or store credit.
Only items purchased at regular price are eligible for refund, exchange, or store credit following our policies.
Any price adjustments on clearance items do not entitle previous purchasers of goods to claim a refund or credit for an amount difference on the item.
Shipped Goods and their returns:
Items being returned to the shop for refund, exchange or store credit will be done at the customer's expense, with exceptions being; the product was damaged in transit to the specified destination (proof of which must be shown) or the item(s) was not one that was ordered or agreed upon as a substitute.
Discount or Promo Items:
Any items discounted or provided free of charge with a purchase will be charged for in full on return of any of the items within the purchase, unless those discounted or free items are also returned.
Non-returnable items:
Non-returnable items include labour, consumable items such as sun block, or items that are used, smell of wear or other odors, are damaged or abused.
Free shipping on orders $200 and over within Canada:

As of Dec 5th, Purolator has restricted shipping as they are overwhelmed with demand caused by the Canada Post Strike, we have moved all shipping to UPS during this time.
Free shipping on qualified orders will still be honoured, provided the shipping cost does not exceed 50% more than our regularly offered Canada Post Expedited cost, should it exceed this mark, we will contact you with shipping options/costs.
The $200 threshold for qualify for free shipping within Canada is the subtotal (the price before tax) or the order, not the total with tax.
Gift card purchases do not qualify an order to reach over the $200 free shipping threshold.
Free Expedited ground shipping shipping on orders over $200 applies to shipping within Canada for standard non-oversized items with Canada Post. For information on shipping, please contact us at [email protected]
The free shipping offer does not apply to any consignment products, even if combined with other non-consignment items.
Any fees incurred by Drift Outfitters & Fly Shop Ltd. under our free shipping promotion(s) will be deducted from the total amount of any refund where the promotion was applied.
Shipping Timelines:
Our goal is to get your order picked, packed & shipped as quickly and as accurately as possible.
Orders placed during our weekend closure will be picked, packed, and shipped as quickly as possible.
Due to online, phone, or email order volume and in-store customer volume, it may take an extra day or two to pick, pack and ship your order with the shipping provider and option of your choosing.
Please note that that postal services do not operate on Saturday and Sunday, packages even if dropped off at a postal facility will not be processed and start making their way to you until the next business day - please keep in mind that holidays observed by postal services are not considered business/shipping days.
Sundays and Mondays the shop is closed, no orders will be picked-packed or shipped then.
As an example, if an order is received after our last Canada Post pick-up on Friday, because there is not a pick-up on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday - your package will start its shipping journey to you on Tuesday with our first Canada Post pick-up. Due to order volume over the weekend your package may not be shipped out until Tuesday evening, or potentially Wednesday.
If you need you order to arrive with an upcoming deadline (fishing trip, for example) please select a shipping option that reflects your needs factoring in our schedule, holidays, or possible delays , or call us and let us know that you require a quicker shipping option and we can arrange that for you.
Shipping Time Estimates & On-Time Guarantee:
While ship times may be guaranteed by the shipping provider it does not mean that your shipment will arrive within that time frame. Delays, mistakes, and accidents occur which can derail the estimate or guaranteed delivery time. The only things that you can be sure of in life are taxes, death, and occasional slow days of fishing. Holidays observed by the shipping provider/company also effect the estimated shipping times. Ship times are also based upon when the shipping provider receives the package, not when the order is placed.
Please note that during the holiday season, and during events such as a pandemic, postal delivery services do not guarantee delivery times.
Shipping Charges:
The cost of shipping, including insurance costs, is not refundable under any circumstance.
Errors
Availability: Our web store provides our customers with live inventory of what we have in stock at any given time. Occasionally our inventory is incorrect - whether it be from theft, or human inputting error into our system. If an item is ordered that we do not have in stock we will hold your shipment and notify you immediately of the discrepancy to either find a substitution, or refund you for the product that was ordered including applicable taxes. Please note that items low on inventory (one or less) are more likely to be found out of stock.
Pricing Change & Errors: Our pricing is subject to change without notice. Errors are corrected upon discovery.
$0 Items: If you observe an item on our web store for $0 - it is an error and the product is not available for that price if it is listed to be in stock or not. Any shipping costs associated with the purchase of a $0 will be refunded immediately to the purchaser, the item will not be shipped, an the order cancelled. $0 items occasionally exist due to inputting error.
