Grand River - Upper Section
Belwood Dam and its reservoir form the first significant boundary on the river. Upstream of the lake, the Grand is primarily a warm water fishery. This is actually far more representative of the historical nature of the river with species such as bass, pike and walleye making up the bulk of the sport fishery.
There can also be excellent walk & wade carp fishing in this stretch
Access is primarily at road crossings as there is less public land in the upper section so please be cognisant of private property if you choose to check it out.
Species most often caught: Smallmouth Bass - Carp
